Director at Atherton Davis, specialist recruitment for Legal, Compliance, Risk & Company Secretarial

Asset finance business operating in the consumer credit/lending space. They are an organisation going through a period of growth as they enter into new markets and looking to appoint a Legal Counsel.

Reporting into the Head of Legal and joining a team you will be actively involved in a variety of projects and initiatives providing commercial and pragmatic legal advice to the business including the review, drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and supporting the Head of Legal with secretariat requirements. You will analyse legal issues presented by the business to identify legal risks as well as keeping the business up to date with developments in the law and legal reform and support the Risk and Compliance team by responding promptly to legal issues that may arise in breach reporting or to meet legislative requirements.

The position would suit a c2-5 years PQE level financial services/banking & finance lawyer coming from either a law firm or inhouse environment. Ideal experience would be consumer credit (NCCP) and you must also demonstrate a high attention to detail as well as excellent time management and prioritisation skills.

Sydney based and supportive of flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
