**Job Opportunity: Banking and Finance Lawyer**

We are seeking a seasoned Banking and Finance Lawyer to join our financial business in Sydney. As a key member of the legal team, you will provide expert counsel on business banking, corporate finance, trade finance, and small business lending transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in banking and finance law, gained in-house at a large financial institution or within a top/mid-tier law firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on business banking, corporate finance, trade finance, and small business lending transactions.
  • Structuring, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transaction documents to ensure they meet the company's objectives.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks, working closely with credit, portfolio management, and external advisers to implement risk management strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining legal templates, guidelines, and training materials for transaction teams.
  • Monitoring changes in banking and finance laws and regulations.
  • Advising on governance, risk frameworks, policies, and procedures related to financing transactions.
