About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering remediation and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors, including Defence, Marine, Mining, Energy, and Commercial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the management of construction projects from initial setup through to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Client Liaison: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring project objectives are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Cost Control and Efficiency: Implement effective cost control measures and optimize project efficiency to ensure maximum value for clients.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers, HSEQ professionals, direct workforce, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
  • Communication and Reporting: Provide regular project progress reports, conduct weekly meetings, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical advice and guidance on engineering and project-related issues.
  • Tendering and Estimation: Participate in tendering and estimation processes to secure new projects and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Hold a degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or similar field).
  • Project Management Skills: Possess strong planning, coordination, and MS Project skills.
  • Industry Experience: Have experience in a comparable role within the construction and remediation industry.
  • Safety Commitment: Demonstrate a high level of understanding and commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Contract Management: Possess sound contract management knowledge and experience.
  • Leadership and Management: Exhibit strong, positive, and inclusive leadership and management skills.
