The Tasmania Government is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to fill the position of Nursing Director in the Department of Health. As a key executive-level management role, this position requires a strong strategic thinker who can provide leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and evaluation of projects related to Outpatient Services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Outpatient Services agenda for the Department of Health, including the development, implementation, and evaluation of frameworks and system-wide Outpatient Service programs designed to achieve better clinical and health outcomes.
- Oversee and manage the implementation and evaluation of Outpatient Services initiatives and projects, including the management of assigned human, financial, and physical resources as well as specialist consultants and contractors.
- Provide high-level strategic expertise, specialist advice, and briefings on priority issues to the Secretary and Health Executive regarding Outpatient Services priorities, policy direction, change processes, and clinical risks.
- Deliver and monitor key transformational activities required to deliver the Outpatient Strategy.
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Drivers Licence.
- A competitive salary of $172,245 per annum.
- 11.5% superannuation contribution.
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
