About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team at Duratec Australia. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing construction projects from initial setup through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Overall management of construction projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise closely with clients to ensure projects run smoothly and meet program requirements.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) requirements and identify potential risks.
  • Cost Control and Efficiency: Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of projects, including management of direct labor and subcontractors.
  • Project Reporting and Meetings: Provide regular project progress reports and conduct weekly meetings with project teams.
  • Technical Advice: Provide advice on technical and engineering issues, including tendering and estimation.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management (or similar).
  • Experience: Strong planning and coordination abilities, solid MS Project skills, and experience in a comparable role within the construction and remediation industry.
  • Leadership and Management: Strong, positive, and inclusive leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a team of engineers, HSEQ, direct workforce, and subcontractors.
