We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Partner to drive new business sales across the Envoyage Network. As part of Flight Centre Travel Group, this role offers a unique opportunity to leverage industry expertise and relationships to achieve significant growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in BDM roles within the travel industry, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers. They will be responsible for implementing strategies to cultivate new sales opportunities through various channels, including networking, customer profiling, and local marketing/events.

This role involves a mix of new business acquisition (70%), sales process (20%), and support and stick rate (10%) objectives, with clear performance metrics for each area. The successful candidate will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne, offering flexibility and autonomy.

  • Develop and maintain multi-level relationships with key suppliers and industry bodies
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to generate new leads
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage customer activity and opportunities
  • Qualify customer needs, identify gaps, and provide tailored solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor offerings, and Envoyage differentiators
  • Present products and services effectively to maximize travel spend and profitability
  • Ensure brand standards, CVPs, and market propositions are consistently presented
  • Negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes while optimizing margin and profitability

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a BDM role within the travel industry
  • Consistent high performance in reaching sales targets
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Familiarity with travel agency processes and the supplier landscape
