Fruit and Vegetable Department Manager

Drakes Supermarkets is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fruit and Vegetable Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fresh food department, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Department Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the fruit and vegetable department, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality customer service.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and drive business growth, including merchandising, promotions, and inventory management.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance, training, and feedback to ensure excellent performance and customer satisfaction.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and maximize sales.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs, including labor, inventory, and overhead expenses, to ensure profitability and efficiency.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with management, employees, customers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in the fresh food industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage inventory, costs, and sales growth.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business, retail management, or a related field preferred.
