We are seeking an experienced Family Support Specialist to join our team.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse families and communities.
The successful candidate will have a passion for working with vulnerable populations and a commitment to delivering high-quality services that make a positive impact on the lives of families and children.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for providing support to families who are at risk of entering or re-entering the child protection system. The Family Support Specialist will work closely with clients to identify their strengths and needs, and provide guidance and resources to help them achieve their goals.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, and experience working with at-risk families and children. Strong organizational and time management skills are also essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial assessments of family strengths and needs
- Determine appropriate support options to help families achieve their goals
- Provide information and advice to families based on their individual circumstances
- Assess safety and manage child protection risks for families
- Liaise with key stakeholders in the community
