Role Overview

Duratec Australia is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join our team in Wangara Head Office. As a key member of our HR function, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our business.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent full-time position based in our Wangara Head Office with the option to work from home two days a week after training.
  • You will be responsible for managing workplace issues, including grievances, performance improvement, conduct, and other investigations and disciplinary matters as required.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our management team to influence and build positive employee relations.
  • Support the interpretation of Enterprise Agreements and Award entitlements terms and conditions in a changing workplace relations environment.
  • Provide advice to support coaching to compliance to ensure consistency and procedural fairness.
  • Assist with development of policies, procedures, and projects to support new HR initiatives and foster EVP and culture.
  • Coordinate HR calendar activities.
  • Interpret the Enterprise Agreement and relevant awards in accordance with the Fair Work Act and NES.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An enthusiasm for promoting our values and driving exceptional employee experience throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to earn trust and credibility.
  • A human resources qualification with proven experience as a HR Advisor in an ER and IR role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritise tasks to meet timeframes.
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • A high degree of confidentiality.
