Director of Estate and Infrastructure

Lead the strategic direction and operational oversight of a large-scale estate and infrastructure portfolio.

This is an opportunity to play a defining role in the stewardship and transformation of property, infrastructure, operations, and commercial services. You will be responsible for leading strategy, delivery, and optimisation across these areas – ensuring maximum strategic value, supporting world-class teaching and research, and enhancing the student experience.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering large-scale capital works and managing high-value asset portfolios. They will bring strong commercial acumen, strategic planning capabilities, leadership skills, and excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Key priorities include setting and delivering a long-term estate, property, and infrastructure strategy, overseeing major capital works and lifecycle asset planning, driving operational excellence in maintenance, compliance, safety, and service delivery, leading cultural and operational transformation, and optimising commercial outcomes while preserving service quality and enhancing student/staff experiences.

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering capital works projects and maintaining existing assets.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in estate management, property development, or a related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to negotiate partnerships.
