
Interventionist for Adolescents Affected by Family Violence

This role is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of families experiencing adolescent family violence.
As an Adolescent Family Violence Interventionist, you will work closely with families to provide tailored interventions and support services. Your goal will be to reduce the prevalence and intensity of adolescent violence in the home by providing safety, relationship strengthening, and reduction in violence through individual and group work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive assessments of families' needs and develop personalized intervention plans.
- Deliver evidence-informed interventions that address the root causes of adolescent violence, including communication breakdowns, conflict escalation, and cultural differences.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, psychologists, and educators, to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to addressing adolescent violence.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience working with adolescents and families in a related field.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively with diverse populations, including culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
- Strong assessment and intervention planning skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
