Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to fill the role of Distress Response Worker. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can provide support and guidance to individuals in distress.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health and wellbeing, enabling them to offer resourceful support, coping strategies, and self-management techniques to help individuals manage their distress.

  • Effective communication with referrers and service users will be essential in this role, as well as conducting risk assessments and safety planning.
  • Escalation procedures will also be a key aspect of the job, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support and care.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a SVQ 3 or equivalent qualification, or demonstrate a willingness to achieve it.

Additionally, satisfactory references and PVG Scheme Membership/Enhanced Disclosure Scotland checks will be required prior to client contact.
