About the Role
  • You'll work collaboratively with residents to provide emotional support and help them achieve their recovery goals.
  • You'll assist with daily living tasks, offer guidance, and be a consistent presence in their lives.

A typical day might involve:

  • Developing individualized plans to meet the needs of our residents
  • Helping someone practice budgeting, cooking, or transport planning
  • Supporting a person in distress with empathy and calm
  • Celebrating small wins, like attending a group activity
  • Logging notes, chatting with your team, or attending learning sessions
  • Collaborating with families to ensure they understand how to support their loved ones on their recovery journey
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • We require a Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or similar, along with experience in mental health.
  • Emotional intelligence, calm under pressure, and a strong sense of teamwork are essential for this role.
  • You should be able to support individuals through challenging situations, not just tasks.
  • Understanding and promoting recovery-oriented practice is crucial for success in this position.
  • A current driver's licence and relevant checks are also required.
