Key Role Overview:

Virgin Australia is seeking a talented HR expert to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will provide generalist advice and support across the Virgin Group.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a broad and diverse environment, providing exposure to the whole business. You will have the capability to resolve people-related queries, providing high levels of customer service and professional advice while managing time and prioritizing issues.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing advice to managers and employees on workplace agreements and policies
  • Maintaining accurate and consistent information through monitoring, reviewing, and implementing changes to policies
  • Creating and distributing documentation as required to support matters
  • Counseling leaders on disciplinary processes and advising on grievance and conflict management
  • Ensuring robust documentation of employee matters within the case management tool
  • Benchmarking roles, award assessments, letter generation, reporting, and analytics

Requirements for Success:

  • A degree in Human Resources or studying towards a related field, along with experience in fast-paced environments
  • Exposure to or experience in end-to-end case management of lower-level cases
  • Effective communication skills at all levels within the business
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with flexibility to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • An exceptional team player attitude, willing to help others to deliver for the business
  • The ability to learn and effectively use a range of platforms and systems
