About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our Surface Mining People Operations team in Brisbane, supporting our Queensland Mine Sites. Reporting to the People Superintendent, you will deliver hands-on generalist HR support, partnering with leaders and employees to improve employee experience and business performance.

This role focuses on practical talent management, culture, and compliance solutions helping our teams work effectively and grow. As a key member of our team, you will provide accurate advice, coaching, and high-level support on all HR/ER related matters, manage or support workplace investigations, performance management, and disciplinary processes.

You will also analyse and interpret data and HR metrics to identify workforce trends and understand and respond to workforce needs, partner with the business to complete cyclical people activities, and primarily be based in our central CBD Brisbane office with regular site travel to a portfolio of mine sites.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and growth opportunities. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with a competitive salary and excellent career development prospects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field, proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining industry, demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing employment legislation and HR policies and procedures, ability to work independently on an assigned portfolio of work but also as a collaborative team member.

Developed critical thinking and decision-making skills, hold a valid Driver's Licence, and proficiency in the use of SuccessFactors would be advantageous.
