Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Director or Senior Mechanical Engineer to expand our specialist team of dams mechanical engineers. As a technical leader, you will deliver innovative solutions and high-quality projects for clients, and help develop a robust, skilled, and motivated team to sustain our long-term success.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, and experience in the mechanical engineering aspects of water storage dams
  • Experience at all project phases including project identification, feasibility studies, conceptual design, reference design, and detailed design
  • A minimum of 15 years' experience in a consulting environment, specifically in the design and specification of gates, hoists, outlet works, trash racks and screens, fishways, pipe work, valves and other mechanical equipment associated with dams
  • Hydropower experience will also be looked on favorably
  • Experience in risk assessments and dam safety inspections or condition assessments of hydromechanical plant
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, dams engineers, and electrical and civil engineers
  • Succesful development and growth of strong client relationships
  • Established project team management skills in a multidisciplinary consulting environment
