About the Role
The Head of People Strategy and Enablement will serve as a commercially-minded strategic leader, supporting the CEO and Owner/Founder in people-led business delivery. This role requires intelligent people-focused initiatives that address current needs and drive the company's future growth.
To contribute to group success, the ideal candidate will:
- Think like an operational leader, focusing on performance objectives, while ensuring delivery through people.
- Understand McNab's DNA, people, and past performance, bringing innovative people ideas tailored to the company's culture, needs, and goals.
- Act as a coach and mentor to a team of HR/Recruitment/L&D professionals, guiding them in executing initiatives on the ground.
- Drive technological advancements and performance metrics within the people space, identifying areas of opportunity and responding quickly.
- Serve as a change manager, influencing outcomes by asking the right questions and taking appropriate actions to ensure large work groups are aligned and can move forward efficiently.
Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate may not come from a traditional HR background, but rather from an operational leadership position with a passion for performance through people. They will demonstrate how past people strategies have contributed to business objectives and performance results, showcasing creativity and innovation in addressing specific needs.
The successful candidate will bring strong people skills and a solid foundation in general people-focused practices, guiding and supporting the team while protecting the business from risk. They will be a confident and inspiring leader in line with McNab's values, welcoming feedback and comfortable giving it to create opportunities and drive results.
