Our Digital team is at the forefront of our digital transformation, creating unified experiences and inclusive services for customers. As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping our digital offering, ensuring it is fit for every Australian.

As a senior designer, you will lead by example, inspiring your design team and squad across planning, research, ideation, design, and execution. You will create high-quality digital experiences for the Coles Group mobile platforms, delivering compelling and accessible designs for our customers.

You will work closely with product and technology delivery teams to ensure experiences are desirable, feasible, and viable. You will also encourage a culture of collaboration within the Design and Digital Experience team.

About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Design team as a Senior Product Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design of digital products and services, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors
  • Leading the design of digital products and services, including wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing
  • Collaborating with product and technology delivery teams to ensure experiences are desirable, feasible, and viable
  • Encouraging a culture of collaboration within the Design and Digital Experience team
  • Mentoring junior designers and contributing to the growth and development of the design team

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in UX/product design, with extensive experience in journey mapping, concept development, wireframe design, UI creation, prototype development, and user testing and facilitation
  • 2+ years' experience supporting digital channels for large, complex organisations requiring stakeholder management
  • 2+ years' experience in project leadership or team mentoring
  • Solid experience designing for apps with a deep understanding of Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design
  • The ability to communicate and rationalise design decisions alongside feasibility
  • Demonstrated capability in creating wireframes, UI and interactive prototypes; and providing developers a clear picture of what we are looking to create
  • Skilled in translating business process and customer behaviours/insights into design concepts

Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$160,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
