We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Pricing Consultant to join our Retail Pricing team on a part-time basis (15-20 hours per week). As an Actuarial Pricing Consultant, you will play a key role in providing prompt support to fulfill policy services requests, including financial administration of AIA's annuity portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt response to policy services requests for AIA's retail products, performing calculations such as premium projections, premium breakdowns, surrender values, maturity values, death benefits, cancel & replace and new business special discounts.
  • Assist with financial administration of AIA's annuity portfolio by calculating annuity payments on a monthly basis, surrender values and reporting.
  • Update CPI, APL, RBA and terminal bonus rates to be used in various AIA systems and processes on a regular basis.
  • From time to time provide pricing support and perform other ad-hoc tasks including remediation work, as well as any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by management.

What You'll Need

  • A bachelor's degree majoring in actuarial studies (or in 3rd year and planning to continue university studies in 2025).
  • Progress with part 1 subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or equivalent exemptions).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to build rapport and manage stakeholders effectively.
