Electrical Engineer Career Opportunity

As a key team member in the University Engineers Club, you will play a pivotal role in driving decarbonisation projects and gaining valuable hands-on experience across major infrastructure upgrades.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of complex electrical engineering projects, including major upgrades to plant and equipment, and investment in new infrastructure for alternative fuels.
  • Gain comprehensive hands-on experience in all aspects of the cement-making process, from design to commissioning and integration into operations.
  • Participate in electrical engineering design, construction, commissioning, and integration into operations, while embedding compliance and safety into all design.
  • Assist in the design, installation, commissioning, and programming of large-scale variable speed drives, as well as designing and managing electrical hazardous area installations.
  • Develop and optimise automation and control concepts, analyse data, and problem-solve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with teams across multiple locations, starting in Railton (TAS) and moving to Gladstone (QLD) in the second year.
About You
  • Hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Dual Degree) Electrical and Electronic, or Bachelor of Engineering Power degree, or be near completion.
  • Show a strong interest in complex infrastructure projects and hands-on problem-solving, with a strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
  • Possess collaboration skills across disciplines and a willingness to work on high-impact initiatives, with a proactive attitude, openness to feedback, and motivation to grow into a future leader.
