
Electro Technical Officer

CSL Australia is currently seeking a permanent full-time Electro-Technical Officer to join our cement carrier Goliath. This operation is based in the Bass Strait. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Electro-Technical Officer is responsible for maintaining electrical and electronic equipment.

The ETO Will Be Responsible For
- Maintaining the vessel's electrical and electronic equipment
- Adopting safe working practices
- UMS test schedules, alarm tests, etc.
- Assisting during maintenance as required beyond electrical equipment maintenance
- First-level maintenance of communications, radio, and navigation equipment
- Supporting the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment during cargo operations
- Educational requirement: as per AMSA Marine Order 72 – Electro-Technical Officer (required)
- AMSA Electro-Technical Officer CoC/CoR Unlimited
- Minimum 12 months relevant experience (required)
- Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) (desirable)
- Work Safely at Heights Certification (desirable)
- Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification (desirable)
- Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) (required)
- Australian Citizen or unlimited Australian Working Rights
