Essential Qualifications
  • A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to maintain one.
  • First Aid Certificate including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.
Essential Skills and Attributes
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to ensure quality practices and outcomes for children.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of educators, ensuring optimal performance and staff retention.
  • Capability to handle day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Familiarity with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, ensuring the Service remains compliant.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise with families, staff, regulatory bodies, and the broader community.
  • Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
  • Experience in a previous Service Manager, Centre Director, Centre Manager role or similar.
  • Skills to address and resolve conflicts or challenges that may arise among staff or with families.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and resource management.
  • Ability to utilize relevant software for management, communication, and reporting purposes.
  • A commitment to ongoing training and development to stay updated with sector changes and best practices.
