The role of the Teaching and Learning Specialist is crucial in driving the advancement of teaching and learning within the educational community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate exceptional teaching and learning practices through model lessons and coaching teachers to enhance their skills, knowledge, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop a shared understanding of highly effective teacher practice.
  • Lead and implement whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and expertise in high-quality teaching and learning, focusing on improved student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.

They will be responsible for showcasing advanced teaching and learning practices, modeling exemplary classroom instruction, and playing a key role in providing professional development opportunities.

Additionally, the Teaching and Learning Specialist will provide evidence-based feedback to educators to inform their effectiveness and development, and supervise and train student teachers and mentor/coach colleagues.
