Event Operations Coordinator

The Australian Museum is seeking a skilled and experienced Event Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for representing the Australian Museum and overseeing event-day operations for commercial and internal clients.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the Australian Museum at events and ensure seamless delivery of events for private and internal clients
- Work closely with the Events & Venues Manager and team members to coordinate event logistics and operations
- Manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations to ensure high-quality event experiences
- Develop and implement event concepts and proposals to meet client needs and objectives
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of events
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality event management, with a focus on event operations and client relationship management
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality events and exceeding client expectations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Basic understanding of catering and technical requirements of events, with the ability to troubleshoot basic power supply, lighting, sound, and AV systems
