Job SummaryThis role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and efficient prescription entry into our system. The Order Entry Pharmacy Technician will work closely with customers to address their needs, resolve questions, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:- Enter new and refill prescriptions with speed and accuracy into the pharmacy system.
- Resolve and answer questions from customers regarding their needs and requests.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with government regulations and ensure safety policy and procedures are consistently adhered to and practiced.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
- Minimum one year working as a pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred).
- Knowledge of brand name/generic medications, alpha-numeric data entry, and basic math computation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
