About the Role:

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for entering prescriptions and refills into the pharmacy system with speed and accuracy. This includes processing new and refill prescriptions, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Enter new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system
  • Resolve and answer customers' needs and requests
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:

To be successful as a Pharmacy Technician, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

  • Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
  • Minimum of one (1) year working as a pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred)
Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and may involve lifting up to 30 pounds. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Physical Demands:
  • Sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
