Senior Estimator Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Estimator to join our team.

About the Job Description

The Senior Estimator will lead on preparing detailed and competitive tenders for commercial construction projects across a diverse portfolio, typically ranging from $10M–$30M in value.

  • Lead end-to-end estimating for D&C and lump sum tenders in the commercial sector
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and scope to prepare accurate BOQs and cost plans
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
  • Conduct risk and value engineering assessments to enhance project viability
  • Participate in tender interviews, presentations, and negotiations where required
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, architects, consultants, and clients
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market conditions and industry trends

You will work closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Directors, and wider team to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality submissions that align with our company's strategic goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5–7 years of estimating experience in commercial construction
  • Proven track record in tendering projects in sectors such as education, aged care, health, and government
  • Experience with projects up to $30M
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. CostX, Buildsoft, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or similar
