About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to ensure alignment on project scope and expectations.
- Obtain and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and reports for management review.
- Maintain and update a database of historical data to support future estimates.
- Assist in developing project schedules and timelines.
About you
- 5+ years' experience in estimation or in landscaping or construction projects
- A relevant qualification in Engineering, Estimating or Construction Management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel & MS Project)
- Experience estimating in Aroflo and Ground Plan
- An ability to engage, build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
