Sales Estimator Position Available
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to produce cost estimates and manage construction costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building terminology, analytical skills, and ability to read engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with architects, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers, and project managers.
- Study architectural and engineering plans and specifications.
- Prepare bills of quantities, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Assist project managers with new design and cost analysis.
- Analyze plans and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Affess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years' experience in the building industry.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and plans.
- Good knowledge of building terminology and principles.
- Ability to concentrate for long periods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
