As a key member of the Six Degrees Executive team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the procurement function of our client. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for leading the strategic procurement function, providing leadership, direction, and structure to the procurement team. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the organization's strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake market research and industry best practices to evaluate suppliers and vendors, developing contracts and conducting spend management to obtain the highest quality resources for the best value of public money.
Assess and implement procurement accreditation obligations under PNFC structure from a Whole of Government Procurement governance perspective.
Establish and implement a wide procurement governance and risk management framework to monitor, manage, and drive procurement performance, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and policy.
Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, systems, structures, and frameworks for all procurement-related activities.
Develop organizational and functional level procurement strategy and advise key stakeholders on all associated aspects, encouraging innovative approaches and enhancing value through improved procurement efficiency and outcomes.
Lead high-level complex negotiations with procurement partners and suppliers to maximize the organization's influence and develop procurement arrangements that deliver optimal value for money outcomes.
Advise business leads and provide customized solutions to build procurement capability and performance across the organization.
Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience in similar strategic procurement roles where you have successfully led and implemented organization-wide procurement initiatives.
Strong commercial and analytical skills to resolve complex issues, providing time-efficient solutions, and developing and tracking KPIs.
Significant experience in influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders internally and externally for desired outcomes.
Skilled in developing procurement strategies with a focus on Property Procurement and day-to-day operations of the procurement team.
Experience in leading and mentoring a team.
