About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the procurement function at a forward-thinking organisation. As Strategic Procurement Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies that deliver cost savings, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall value proposition.
  • Leveraging market research, industry best practices, and data analysis to inform procurement decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and systems that support procurement operations.
  • Leading high-level negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Mentoring and guiding a team of procurement professionals to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance and identify areas for improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in strategic procurement roles, with experience in leading complex procurement initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in mentoring and developing teams, with a focus on improving procurement capabilities and performance.
