as a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for accurate colour matching and supporting our colour systems used across australia.
to achieve this goal, you will need to have a strong understanding of colour theory and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and r&d teams.
key responsibilities:- maintain and update point-of-sale tint formulations and the colour formulation database.
- match and create new colour formulations for protective coatings, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- support the development of factory-packaged colours and investigate colour-related complaints.
- provide technical colour advice and solutions to internal stakeholders, including sales, r&d, and customer service.
- utilise colour tools and software, including spectrophotometers, to support high-quality outcomes.
- proven experience in colour matching, with strong colour perception and the ability to analyse colour both visually and digitally.
- comfortable using computer-based tinting systems and colour programs; strong ms office skills.
- experience working independently with the ability to prioritise and deliver high-quality outcomes within deadlines.
- background in coatings, colour technology, or lab-based environments is advantageous.
- ability to spray colour panels is a plus (training available for the right candidate).
