Equipment Operator - Grader (Maintenance)

This role presents a unique opportunity to work as an Equipment Operator, responsible for undertaking maintenance and construction duties through the skilled operation of Council's plant fleet, in particular a Grader.

The successful applicant will possess a current C Class Driver's Licence or HR licence, and a Work Health and Safety Construction Induction White Card. They will be required to operate various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in Construction and Maintenance Works.

The Equipment Operator will report to the Works Supervisor and be accountable for servicing minor repairs and pre-start inspection of various types of earthmoving equipment, operating civil construction plant to the required tolerances with due regard to the presence of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing minor repairs and pre-start inspection of various types of earthmoving equipment
  • Operation of various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools and equipment in Construction and Maintenance Works
  • Operating civil construction plant to the required tolerances with due regard to the presence of services
