
Strategic Product Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will focus on conducting early discovery work for potential launchpad products and collaborating to perform thorough analyses for various initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct detailed early-stage research and analysis on potential products before their inclusion in our portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify market trends, consumer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform discovery efforts, driving informed decision-making.
- Gather and synthesise qualitative and quantitative data from stakeholders and external sources, providing actionable insights for product development.
- Collaborate with the Launchpad Executive Manager of Product to complete comprehensive as-is and to-be analysis for various projects and initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Map and analyse current processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, driving process optimisation.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design optimal future-state products and solutions that align with strategic goals, ensuring seamless integration.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, enhancing transparency and accountability.
- Engage and manage stakeholders to align around strategic initiatives, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Elicit and synthesise functional and non-functional requirements using strong business analysis skills, ensuring product deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
- Develop clear and actionable insights and recommendations to guide product development decisions and prioritisation, driving informed decision-making.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business analysis, product discovery, or strategy development, demonstrating expertise in similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies, driving informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, fostering collaboration and understanding.
- Strong operational hygiene when it comes to communicating progress, engaging with stakeholders, keeping work in flight updated in task tracking tools, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies, leveraging data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Familiarity with market research and competitive analysis techniques, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Understanding of business process modeling and improvement methodologies, applying process optimisation techniques to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- A critical thinking mindset that allows you to not have all the answers, but understand the various techniques to employ to get the right answers from the right people, fostering innovation and creativity.
- A motivated, collaborative mindset that can take direction and run with it while actively checking in and providing early communications for blockers, risk and progress against programs of work, ensuring seamless collaboration and execution.
- Good understanding of the product lifecycle, and how to accurately place a product or program of work within that lifecycle, ensuring informed decision-making and aligned business objectives.
