Product Development Specialist

This role involves managing relationships with key retail and independent customers, identifying sales and marketing opportunities, and assisting in product category planning.
- Product development is a key part of this role, including generating ideas, writing descriptions, and supporting product sourcing.
- Data analysis plays a critical role in driving category growth and optimizing customer planograms.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer planograms and optimizing assortments to maximize sales potential.
- Product registration, artwork approvals, and factory audits are also key aspects of this role.
- Regular presentations on slow-moving stock, competitor analysis, and promotional recommendations will be required.
- Develop and implement effective category plans to drive sales growth.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Provide valuable market insights and trend analysis to inform business decisions.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail or FMCG environment.
- A degree in Marketing or an equivalent field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Experience with Adobe platforms is advantageous.
- Strong creative skills for point-of-sale materials and an understanding of planogram planning and execution are necessary.
