Transforming Cancer Care through Computational Biology

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Bioinformatics Research Scientist to join our team at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, a world-renowned institution dedicated to cancer research and treatment.

About the Role:

  • This is a 12-month Fixed-Term, Full-Time position, working 80 hours per fortnight with flexible ADO's.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge bioinformatics analysis and methods development in tumour immunology.

About You:

  • PhD in a relevant quantitative scientific field such as bioinformatics, physics, statistics, computer science or mathematics.
  • An excellent academic record with advanced programming skills in R or Python.
  • Strong data analysis, data science or statistical skills in a scientific context.
  • Ability to design analyses based on scientific questions and develop novel algorithms or statistical analysis approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
