Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced sommelier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing our wine program, working closely with the leadership team and floor staff to ensure seamless service.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sharing their knowledge of wine, grower, and supplier information, as well as staying up-to-date on beverage products, restaurant influences, and wine regions and vintages.

In addition to strong organizational and time management skills, the successful candidate must also possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in stock control and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop the wine program, collaborating with the leadership team and floor staff.
  • Stay up-to-date on beverage products, restaurant influences, and wine regions and vintages.
  • Share knowledge and mentor the wider team on wine service.
  • Exercise autonomy in wine selections and purchasing negotiations.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Manage stock control and inventory management effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Italian wine and cuisine.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a sommelier in a premium dining environment.
  • WSET Diploma or CMS Advanced certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience with POS system programming.
  • Excellent administrative capabilities.
