Lead Performance Tester

We are seeking an experienced Lead Performance Tester to join our team and contribute to the success of a digital transformation project for a major retail bank.

  • This is a permanent or contract position that involves working closely with consultancy banking clients to deliver high-quality performance testing services.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Understanding non-functional requirements (NFRs) from NFR documents and collaborating with business and platform owners to ensure alignment.
  • Working closely with developers and business stakeholders to understand critical business scenarios and prioritize test cases.
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive performance test strategy and plan, including workload modelling and test script development.
  • Communicating regularly with the business/development team manager through daily/weekly reports to ensure progress and address any concerns.
  • Executing sanity tests, load tests, soak tests, and stress tests as required by the project, and analyzing test results to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • At least 8 years of experience in performance engineering, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality performance testing services.
  • Expert-level skills in Microfocus LoadRunner and Apache JMeter, along with programming/scripting experience in C/C++, Java, Perl, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience working with multiple platform architectures and technologies, including microservices, REST APIs, and cloud environments (AWS or Azure).
  • Exposure to open-source data visualization tools and APM tools like AppDynamics.
