Job Overview

The Sales Area Director role is responsible for leading a sales area to achieve financial and execution targets through a high-performance culture. This includes understanding and giving input into commercial plans, developing and executing an area plan, managing key customers, and building the team's capability with an emphasis on coaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve financial and execution targets in the sales area.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team to ensure effective execution of sales plans and strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive business growth and loyalty.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics, identify gaps, and participate in implementing corrective actions or raising issues for resolution with customer and channel teams.
  • Plan and manage contract negotiation and joint business planning (JBPs) with key local customers.
  • Provide market insights and input into annual planning processes for customer and channel teams.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Outstanding relationship management skills with key customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
