Correspondence Coordinator Job Description

The Correspondence Coordinator plays a pivotal role in coordinating departmental, Ministerial and Parliamentary correspondence and inquiries. This encompasses drafting briefing notes, Questions on Notice, Possible Parliamentary Questions, and other documentation required by senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate deadlines and ensure quality assurance of briefing notes and correspondence aligns with the Departmental Style Guide.
  • Provide expert advice and support to staff on drafting and preparing briefing notes and correspondence.
  • Coordinate official media responses on behalf of the department, consulting with stakeholders including the judiciary and departmental officers.
  • Respond to complex queries and requests directed to the office.
  • Maintain the CCQ website and courts webpages as a system administrator in Squiz Matrix.
Essential Requirements:
  • High level analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment in a fast-paced work environment with competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Capacity to develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong working relationships with the judiciary, departmental officers, key coronial system partners, and other stakeholders.
