
Correspondence Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor requests from the Minister's office, received from the Departmental Liaison unit and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records in reporting systems to ensure deadlines are met for correspondence requests and collaborate with senior staff on progress updates.
- Provide guidance and support to Customer Services Branch staff on document tracking and drafting replies in line with Ministerial and Departmental standards.
- Offer training and induction to new and existing users in general duties and system operation, including DocTrak and Document Management System.
- Establish effective working relationships with a range of officers (internal and external) to achieve performance goals in terms of consistency, completeness, timeliness, and adherence to departmental standards.
- Work within relevant legislative and policy frameworks to provide advice on the role of Correspondence Coordinator.
- Provide relief support and assistance to senior staff as needed.
This position reports to the Principal Advisor.
