About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Datacom. As a key member of our IT service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers in a high-paced environment, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
  • Assist new users with their IT hardware collection and setup, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Ensure new equipment, such as laptops and mobile phones, are up-to-date and deployment-ready prior to release to customers.
  • Record all customer contacts in the appropriate IT service management tool.
  • Keep commitments to customers regarding progress updates.
  • Use tools and processes to deliver services to customers in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Proactively manage and maintain customer infrastructure as directed.
  • Initiate and drive service and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer experience with regard to end-user services.
  • The ability to prioritize work to ensure achievement of all service level agreements.
  • Sound knowledge of laptops, desktop PCs, printers, media, and audio-visual equipment, BYOD, and mobility.
