About the Role

The Healthcare Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of hospital wards by providing essential non-clinical assistance to healthcare professionals and ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for patients. This position involves a variety of tasks, including patient transportation, equipment management, mortuary duties, and general support duties to enhance patient care and staff efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assistance and Transportation:
    • Safely transport patients to and from various departments within the hospital.
    • Assist patients with mobility and positioning as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Work closely with nursing staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
    • Respond promptly to requests and instructions from nursing staff and management.
  • Mortuary Duties:
    • Assist with transfer of deceased from wards.
    • Liaise with funeral homes and other external agencies.

Employment Type: This is a permanent part-time position, and in addition, we have casual opportunities available.
