Job Summary:

Centacare is seeking a highly skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. As a Behavioural Support Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with complex needs to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Behavioural Support services to individuals with complex needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other developmental disabilities.
  • Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans that are tailored to the individual's needs and goals.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify the individual's strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour change and improve the individual's quality of life.

Requirements:

  • Relevant undergraduate qualifications in Behavioural Science, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Registration with the relevant professional body.
  • Eligibility for NDIS registration to provide Specialist Behaviour Support.
  • Certification by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BCBA) or working towards it.
  • Masters level qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis or a related field.
