Job Title: Mental Health Liaison Nurse Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Liaison Nurse Specialist to join our team in Regional WA. As a key member of our mental health team, you will provide expert nursing consultation and liaison services to support the management of complex patients with problematic behavioural and clinical mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supply expert nursing consultation and liaison service
  2. Support the management of complex patients with problematic behavioural and or clinical mental health
  3. Provide clinical support to nursing and other healthcare professionals
  4. Perform primary mental health assessments
  5. Determine a plan of care
  6. Promote a mental health nursing service that fosters excellence in clinical, educational and professional leadership

Requirements:

  1. Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
  2. Post Graduate degree in mental health
  3. Sound knowledge and experience of assessing persons within an acute environment
  4. Demonstrated understanding of nursing processes and their contributions to best practice principles
  5. Proven clinical leadership skills in within the WA Mental Health act 2014
  6. Demonstrated ability to conduct a thorough Mental Health assessment
