About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Mental Health Specialist - Clinical Services to join our team in New York State. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Description

As a Mental Health Specialist - Clinical Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing psychological services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist;
  • Designing, developing, administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests;
  • Conducting psychological evaluations;
  • Participating at treatment team meetings and assisting in the development of behavioral/treatment plans;
  • Participating in and leading individual, family, and group counseling sessions;
  • Providing administrative supervision to lower-level psychology staff;
  • Preparing reports and maintaining a wide variety of records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral degree in a clinical field of psychology;
  • EITHER a one-year, full-time pre-doctoral clinical internship OR one year of psychology experience in a clinical setting, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist;
  • Demonstrated ability to provide psychological services in a clinical setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
