The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service delivers dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12-25 in Melbourne's north and west.

About the Role

This position works closely with senior nursing staff to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment, workforce management and high quality service delivery.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary support for clinical issues and act as a resource for staff on each shift.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to young people in custody across a 24/7 rotating roster.
  • Implement specialist mental health nursing interventions, effectively manage critical incidents and emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions from a Strengths-Based, Recovery-Focused framework.
About You

We are seeking an experienced nurse with a Bachelor's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, and post-graduate qualification in Mental Health.

Ambitious individuals with comprehensive experience in youth mental health nursing will be well-suited to this role. Successful candidates must be able to deliver personalised care to facilitate recovery of young people.

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Mental Health.
  • Comprehensive experience in youth mental health nursing.
