Youth Mental Health Specialist

Delivering high-quality mental health care to young people aged 12-25 and their families requires a collaborative approach. The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service works in partnership with Orygen to provide seamless, person-centred care.
This service focuses on the needs of young people, incorporating world-leading research, clinical excellence, and governance to ensure accessible and evidence-based standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialist mental health services to youth in custody, working collaboratively with them and their families.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, formulate treatment plans, and deliver psychological interventions, crisis support, and systems containment for young people requiring immediate care and their families.
- Ensure clinical care is aligned with PYMHWS's client-focused, accessible, and evidence-based standards.
- Eligible disciplines: RPN Grade 4 / Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, and Psychologist Grade 3.
- Relevant registration and qualifications.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in tertiary and/or youth mental health.
A mental health clinician with expertise in early intervention and evidence-based care for young people in custody experiencing mental health difficulties is required.
