Employment Relations Specialist

This is an exceptional career opportunity to grow and progress in a dynamic, stimulating environment. As an Employment Relations Specialist, you will work on complex employment matters alongside a collaborative team and have significant direct client contact.

You will be responsible for handling a broad range of employment, discrimination, and industrial relations matters across various sectors including health, education, construction, manufacturing, and finance.

The successful candidate will be provided the opportunity to be mentored by experienced professionals while working on quality ER matters and enjoying a collegiate environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work on employment and industrial relations matters with 2-4 years of post-admission legal experience.
  • Experience in litigation in various courts or tribunals (ideally the Fair Work Commission and the Federal Court of Australia).
  • Strong drafting skills with specific ability to draft court documents and affidavits.
  • Good writing skills to provide concise and commercial advice to clients.
  • Knowledge of employment law and discrimination law obtained through academic study or practical experience.
  • Ability to manage your own time, work autonomously, and at times work to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a team player mentality with a supportive and collaborative working style.
