The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team based in Dubbo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of our fleet, which includes trucks, floats, trailers, light vehicles, and earthmoving equipment.
You will deliver high-quality servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a diverse fleet that supports major infrastructure and civil construction projects across New South Wales. From planned maintenance to urgent breakdowns, your skills will help minimize downtime and ensure we stay on track and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair trucks, floats, light vehicles, and construction equipment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and suppliers to maintain fleet efficiency and availability.
- Support roadworthy inspections and complete service documentation accurately.
- Undertake both workshop-based and site servicing (field service).
- Promote WHS compliance and contribute to safety-focused pre-start/toolbox meetings.
- Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' post-trade experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.
- Background in civil, mining, transport, or agricultural environments is highly regarded.
- Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Current Driver's Licence - (HR or HC desirable).
- White Card.
